Kendall Jenner Cuts The Red Tape

Image
Kendall Jenner's a well-known supporter of the "Free the Nipple" movement -- and on Sunday, she proved her advocacy yet again. The model was seen out Sunday in NYC in a barely there see-through red blouse, which put her assets on full display. This definitely isn't her first time unburdening her nips -- she was recently doing just that at a beach party in Mykonos ... and who could forget last year's hang out sesh with her girls? It's about 80 degrees in the city right now ... looks like she must've caught a draft here.

Wow: CNN mocks Nigeria over Buhari’s continued absence in country

Image
The United States television medium, Cable News Network, CNN, has mocked Nigeria in its latest edition of “The Global Public Square (GPS)”, a foreign affairs show anchored on CNN by Fareed Zakaria. In an apparent mockery of Nigeria and her President Muhammadu Buhari, CNN, on its programme displayed at 4:59pm local time on Sunday said, “The head of state from which country has not set foot in his homeland in over two months?” It went ahead to tick an option with the name Nigeria as the correct answer. The options were given as Saudi Arabia, Cuba, Nigeria and Syria. A screenshot of the mockery tweeted by Chidi Odinkalu, Former Chairman of the National Human Rights Commission (NHRC) is given below. What do you say Nigerians? Type your comments below please. Recall that President Muhammadu Buhari has been in London since May 7 on a medical follow-up. Some political delegations including the Acting President, Professor Yemi Osinbajo have been visiting President Buhari in London a

Ramos Urges Neymar to join PSG

Image
REAL MADRID defender Sergio Ramos has urged Neymar to join Paris Saint-Germain. Why? Because the Spanish World Cup winner wants an easier life for reigning La Liga champions Real.  Barcelona striker Neymar, 25, is in the middle a £186million world record transfer debate. His switch to PSG could be finalised by Monday or Tuesday.  The Brazilian showed why he is the subject of interest after dazzling against bitter rivals Madrid at the International Champions Cup on Saturday, setting up two goals in a 3-2 triumph. And when asked about Neymar’s future after the game, Madrid captain Ramos said:  “I do not know, everyone is free to choose their future. “I hope [he leaves]. It would be less of a problem for us.”  Ramos, who made his first pre-season appearance for Madrid, added:  “I changed the shirt with him and I hope it is the last one I have used with Barca.”  Barcelona, meanwhile, are lining up Antoine Griezmann as a replacement for Neymar, accordin

Russian censorship law bans proxies and VPNs

Image
It's going to be much harder to view the full web in Russia before the year is out. President Putin has signed a law that, as of November 1st, bans technology which lets you access banned websites, including virtual private networks and proxies. Internet providers will have to block websites hosting these tools. The measure is ostensibly meant to curb extremist content, but that's just pretext -- this is really about preventing Russians from seeing content that might be critical of Putin, not to mention communicating in secret. Accordingly, the President has signed another law requiring that chat apps identify users through their phone numbers after January 1st, 2018. Some messaging clients already encourage you to attach an account to a phone number, but this makes it mandatory -- Facebook and others can't reject the idea if they're prefer to give you some kind of anonymity. The measure also demands that operators limit users' access if they're spreadi

Kathy Griffin: I'm No Longer Under Investigation

Image
Kathy Griffin  has been under a lot of heat lately for her not so tasteful joke where she showed off a photo of herself carrying a bloodied  President Trump's  head. The 56-year-old comedienne sparked major controversy in May after she tweeted a video with gory images of her holding a fake, severed head that was supposed to represent that of Trump.   Despite her tearful apology, she was fired from her New Year's Eve hosting duties with  CNN , and several of her comedy shows were canceled at various venues. She also admitted that the Secret Service was conducting an investigation into the situation. Now, she's tweeted that she's no longer under federal investigation and the case is closed. In her words,  'I am no longer under federal investigation. The case is closed, I have been completely exonerated. Finally'.

North Korea: The Entire US Is Now Within Our Striking Range

Image
North Korea  continues to create tension with its continuous tests of nuclear weapons and now the country has hailed as a success its latest test of an  intercontinental ballistic missile  (ICBM), describing it as a "stern warning" for the US. North Korean  leader  Kim Jong-un  said the test proved that the entire US was within striking range, state media reported. Confirming the latest launch, the North said the ICBM flew for just over 47 minutes and reached an altitude of 3,724km (2,300 miles). The  Korean Central News Agency  says, ' the leader said proudly the test also confirmed all the US mainland is within our striking range". According to  Melissa Hanham , Senior Research Associate in the James Martin Center for Nonproliferation Studies, ' North Korea's latest ICBM test went farther and higher than their previous 3 July test, meaning that they may be able to strike even deeper into the heartland of the United States than initiall

Samsung Galaxy Note 8 receives FCC certification

Image
The Samsung Galaxy Note 8 has received FCC certification, marking another necessary step before release to the public. You know what that means - another line of hideous markings on the back of the phone. The Note 7 that wasn't meant to be now lives on as the Note FE Seriously though, the US telecom regulator has carried out the required testing and deemed the Note 8 consumer ready. There are, of course, piles of technical documentation on the FCC website you can sift through if that's your thing. The Samsung Galaxy Note 8 is to be unveiled on August 23 in New York City, and should hopefully help us finally put the whole Note 7 behind us once and for all.

R-Kelly Concert Seats Available Amid 'Cult' Rumors

Image
There's a good reason R. Kelly went on camera to reassure fans his weekend concerts are still a go -- because ticket sales for his opening night are seriously lagging. Kelly's first concert since the sex 'cult' allegations came out is Friday night at Veterans United Home Loans Amphitheater in Virginia Beach. We checked Live Nation's website to see what tickets are still available. The venue -- which holds 20,000 -- appears barely at 50% capacity with just hours to go. We talked to someone at the amphitheater and we're told it could be as simple as this -- Kelly just ain't popular anymore. Of course, it could also be a reaction to allegations made by Joycelyn Savage's family. As we reported, Kelly recorded an on-camera denial ... dismissing the rumors as "all crap." Source: TMZ

Amazon said its net income declined to $197 million in the second quarter, from $857 million the same period last year, marking a massive 77 percent decline. Revenue rose 25 percent to $38 billion from $30.4 billion, but that was not enough for Bezos to retain his title. The e-commerce giant stock price plunged 3.2 percent to as low as $1,020 per share in after-hours trading, after they closed the day at $1,046 a share. Bezos, who owns 17 percent of Amazon stocks, saw his net worth falling to $88.7 billion, according to Forbes’ World’s Billionaires Real Time Ranking. Microsoft co-founder Bill Gates regained his title of world’s richest person with $89.8 billion of net worth, the ranking showed. Amazon is still the world’s fourth biggest firm by ma

Reviews of 'The Emoji Movie'

Image
Critics went in on The Emoji Movie, which Mashable described as "¯\_(ツ)_/¯" — and we're hardly the only ones getting cute with symbols here.  It was enough to warrant the use of poop emoji in headlines and in one case, a direct order not to see it. Here's what critics are saying about The Emoji Movie: The Concept John DeFore, The Hollywood Reporter: The project's first hurdle is imagining how an emoji icon, which by definition represents only one emotional state (or object), can be a character capable of experiencing a story. Its solution is incoherent. We're told both that "the pressure's always on" for the face-emoji residents of Textopolis to keep their expressions convincing — smiley or smirking, angry or puzzled — and that they have no choice: That weeping guy keeps gushing tears even when he wins the lottery; he's just programmed that way. Samsung overtakes Apple as world’s biggest phone maker

Image
Samsung Electronics is now the world’s largest maker of mobile phones, memory chips and most profitable tech firm, going by its record quarterly earnings released today, The figures show that the South Korean tech giant is on course to overtake Apple as the world’s most profitable tech. The firm said it's operating profit soared a forecast-beating 72.9 percent from the previous year to 14.07 trillion won ($12.6 billion), compared with consensus forecasts of $10.6 billion for US titan Apple, which is due to report next week. However, Greg Roh, an analyst at HMC Investment Securities, told AFP:  “Samsung has surpassed its rivals for now but Apple usually sees little fluctuation in its profits whereas Samsung’s profits fluctuate largely on memory chip prices.” Samsung has been trying to overcome an embarrassing recall last year of its flagship Galaxy Note 7 smartphone over exploding batteries, which cost it billions of dollars and dealt a blow to its reputation.
