Katy Perry to host MTV VMAs
The pop singer will host this year's MTV Video Music Awards in a move that honestly seems somewhat beneath her after years of massive success, but she's trying to recapture her sizzle. Perry announced her hosting duties with a space-themed video on Twitter Thursday. Introducing your MOONWOMAN. Brace for impact! Earlier this week nominees were announced and Perry has noms in five categories: Best Pop, Best Direction and Best Visual Effects for “Chained to the Rhythm,” Best Art Direction for “Bon Appetit,” and Best Collaboration for Calvin Harris’ “Feels” featuring Pharrell Williams, Perry and Big Sean.
