Manchester City Considering Bid For Middlesbrough Defender Ben Gibson
Manchester City are stepping up their interest in Middlesbrough skipper Ben Gibson, according to The Daily Mail.
Pep Guardiola is reportedly a big admirier of the centre-back, who has been tracked by West Brom this summer.
However, Garry Monk has continuously said Gibson is not for sale: “From day one, it was very clear we don’t have to sell any player. I said all along it would have to be an extraordinary offer for any player to leave and we don’t want our important players to leave.”
Everton, Liverpool and Chelsea have also followed Gibson in recent months who is the nephew of Boro chairman Steve Gibson and has been with the club since the age of 12.
City are looking to move out Eliaquim Mangala while Galatasaray, who bought City midfielder Fernando for £4.75m last week, also want to sign Jason Denayer either on loan or on a permanent.
